Abstract:

Small as it is, Macao presents noticeable regional distinctions. There are differences not only between the peninsula and the islands but also between the northern southern and even between the eastern and western parts. As a result, if Macaology, or rather Macao studies, is intended to gain advancement in theory and methodology, it is necessary and feasible to embody it into the horizon of modern histogeography so as to analyze and explore relevant issues by combining temporal and spatial dimensions.
