Abstract:
Confucian political thought was a theory of political design which set search for ideal political order as its end. In order to actualize its ideological goal, Confucianists developed a series of primary vectors to maintain the operation of political order, including equation, moral governance, proprietary governance, three principles of conduct and benevolent government. Of all these vectors equation belonged to economic foundation while moral governance, proprietary governance and three principles of conduct to ideology. With moral and proprietary governances to be realized as five constant virtues, three principles as a gradedifferentiating hierarchical system and benevolent government as necessary requirements for the ruler's use of power under the norm of three principles and five constant virtues, all these combined provided dynamo for Confucian political order and assured the realization of primary dimensions of its values.
