Abstract:
The Construction of a system of teacher ethical criteria plays an important role in the structure of the teacher’s moral spirit. Therefore, a discussion on the teacher’s ethical criteria is of little realistic significance unless we bring it into the channel of institutional construction. The existing theoretical exploration in China in modern times and practical experience in other nations and regions of the world enlightens us that we should discriminate the institutional character of the system of teacher ethical criteria, realize the necessity of establishing such a system, and define the professional contents of typical teacher ethical criteria and necessary constructive procedure. In a word, the Construction of a system of teacher ethical criteria will compensate for the current absence of informal institutions and complete the existing system of teacher institutions.
