Abstract:
Owing to changes in social background, theoretical context and ideological position, all theories of cultural enterprises and their spirit of criticism and reflection have been nearly abandoned, especially in our country, where cultural industry is gaining more and more powerful development. By investigating the evolution of movie “dream works” and comparing and combing out theories concerning cultural industry and cultural enterprises, the author comes to think that the theory of cultural industry should refine rather than forsake theories of cultural enterprises and their spirit of criticism and reflection. This understanding is of primary importance to maintain a healthy development of the current cultural industry in our country.
