Abstract:
Media culture with media and their characterization systems is the axis force in present days and deeply influences contemporary life in every way. Of media production and its miscellaneous products, web ridicule and its works attract broad concern. This paper investigates web ridicule as a characteristic of juvenile subculture in the context of media culture. It explores the origin and ways of expression of web ridicule and meanwhile attempts to analyzes its double orientations of ideology and commercial interests. The paper also offers a multiple reflections on this phenomenon of media culture.
