Since its establishment, theoretical psychology has went through varieties of challenges and transformations and gradually shaped a stable category of studies, which has laid a solid foundation for further development. This has mainly resulted from the steady methodological accumulation of studies of theoretical psychology. As the branches of its study are daily inclusive, theoretical psychology is now regarded as the indication of a new phase of theoretical study of psychology. With the transfer of study of theoretical psychology in the new century to postexperientialist concern, theoretical psychology reconstructs its foundation of scientific methodology on scientific realism, scientific hermeneutics and social constructivism and gains more theoretical and interpretative strength, which shows more and more academic selfconsciousness of the scholarship.
