Abstract:
In 660 A.D. the Tang Dynasty defeated the Baiji kingdom in the southwest in alliance with the Xinluo kingdom in the southeast of Korean Penisula. The king of Baiji and about ten thousand of his subjects were immigrated in the domain of the Tang Dynasty. Like other peoples in the Tang Dynasty, the Baiji immigrants became part of the Chinese nation through generations of fusion. Now thousands of years have passed, it is really no easy job to discover the traces of the Baiji adherents today. Nevertheless, it is a common concern to reveal the clues of those Baiji immigrants fused into the Tang Dynasty by investigating the few records still remaining and comparing the tablet inscriptions newly discovered in the last century. So exploring the life traces of the Baiji adherents will certainly help deepen our understanding of the ethnics fusion in the prosperous Tang Dynasty and promote further study of the Baiji adherents.
