Abstract:
The term “cosmism as the subject” has been an individual and special concept to Mou Zongsan the man in the 20th century world of Chinese philosophy, which represents the crystalized highlight of Mou’s philosophic studies. At first, Mou shaped his general theoretical framework of “cosmism as the subject” by modeling Kant’s critical philosophy. Then, he established his wholesome view of Chinese culture by reflecting the internal cleansing of life and natural order and moral value in traditional Chinese culture. Finally, he advanced a surmounted understanding of contemporary cultural phenomena in China.
