Under the guidance of Marxist and Leninist thoughts about news report, Chinese newspapermen developed a set of Chinacharacteristic newsreporting conceptions of their own by modeling the preSoviet idea in running newspapers and combining their own experience. This set of newsreporting conceptions emphasize such ideas as “speaking with the fact”, and “reporting tendenciously, opportunely”, “typically” and “positively”. However, with the turn of times and rapid advancement of crossculture news dissemination, these traditional newsreporting conceptions show more and more historical limitation and surviving justification. Therefore, it is a critical problem facing Chinese world of news report to effectively construct the legitimacy of Chinese conception of news report.
