Abstract:
In company with reform and opening door went a profound transformation in cultural and ideological values, in which some new patterns of social values arose, were screened, confirmed, and reshaped in practice. First, the structure of Chinese society is converting from “fields unification” to “fields splitting”. With the nationalization of society, the wholesome social values are progressing gradually from “equality” to “development”, and to even deeper level. Next, the evolution of social values lashed by reform and opening door indicates not only a necessary historical process with regularity but also a process coinciding with the contemporary interests of Chinese common people with reasonableness, which show themselves primarily in the confirmation of demand of interests of plural practitioners and in the establishment of location of new social values. Finally, for the aims of this process, emphasis is laid on the establishment of a justice-based socialism and a rational confidence in a harmonious society, namely, concern with people's life, reform for interests distribution, and stress on sharing the fruit of development.
