Abstract:
The 1980's was a significant turn of Cold War between East and West. Cold War didn't come to an end until violent changes happened in Soviet Union and Eastern Europe after the whole decade in which fierce confrontation turned to alleviation between America and Soviet. During this period of time, Reagan, who hosted the White House for 8 years, was regarded as the “firmest Communistopposing American president in history”. Since taking office, Reagan carried out a series of uncompromising policies to Soviet Union. In addition to public threat to check Soviet Union, he worked out a series of concealed action policies with intent to weaken Soviet power and influence and crumble the Soviet Camp so as to win Cold War. These policies showed the place of concealed action in Reagan Administration's foreign strategies and played a neverunderestimated part in the end of Cold War.
