西周都城体系的演变与岐周的圣都地位

摘要:
从都城体系的角度研究都城政治地位的变化是古都研究中必须的手段。在都城体系中,有圣都与俗都、主都与陪都等都城关系。西周的都城体系中有三个都城:岐周、宗周、成周。岐周是西周的圣都,宗周是西周的主都,成周是西周的陪都。作为周的“圣都”,岐周是国家重要的祭祀中心,它不仅是周族发迹的地方,而且承担着高规格的祭祀活动,拥有大规模的宗庙建筑,这些远非“俗都”宗周可比。随着政治局势的变化,都城地位也在变化,岐周在西周中晚期逐渐丧失了圣都的政治地位。西周的都城体系和圣都制度对后世各政权的都城制度产生了深远影响。

Abstract:
The capital system of the West Zhou Dynasty included three capitals, that is, the Zhou of Qi, the Zhou of Zong, and the Zhou of Cheng. The Zhou of Qi was the Holy Capital, the Zhou of Zong the Folk Capital and the Zhou of Cheng the Secondary Capital of the West Zhou Dynasty. As the Holy Capital, the Zhou of Qi was the principal center of sacrifice. It was not only the place where the Zhou family rose to power and the highest rank of sacrifice was carried out. It boasted of large quantities of largescale family temples, which was far superior to the Zhou of Zong as the Folk Capital. However, with the change of political situations, the Zhou of Qi gradually lost its political place as the Holy Capital in the midandlate Zhou Dynasty.
