Since Emperor of Huang's advocate of “economizing water, firewood and substance material”, Chinese traditional culture always embodied the view of “harmony between heaven and man”, which played an active part in the sustenance and development of the Chinese nation and country. At present, the whole nation is making joint efforts to construct ecological civilization. This means not only one of important guiding principles to rapidly and efficiently develop our national economy and wholesomely build a betteroff society but also a prerequisite and significant action to carry forward Chinese culture and construct a common spiritual home for the Chinese nation. In order to promote construction of ecological civilization, to begin with, we should absorb the significant implications of the view of “harmony between heaven and man” in our traditional culture. Then, the government should scientifically make decisions, give a full display to the active function of market and establish an ecological view of ethics and living conventions.
