Abstract:
Plato, Didero, Kleiv Bell and the 1950's aesthetic schools in China were all representative of historical growth of aesthetics. A glimpse at these historical cases based on the hypothesis of “Beauty (aesthetic phenomenon) is a category of value” proves that value aesthetics offers an effective means and view for interpreting aesthetic matters. Meanwhile, an investigation of massive phenomena in aesthetic history shows that many an anesthetist often slipped onto the path of value aesthetics. Interestingly enough, this happens to reveal the basic fact that a view of value aesthetics agrees with practice of appreciating beauty, thus containing more truthfulness.
