Abstract:
A philosophic investigation reveals some delicate but clear traces hidden in the complicated and confusing course of evolution of the theory of public administration: some being the revival of an old theory, some the wavering between a certain pair of contradictions, and others incorporation of certain opposite sides. Contemporary theory of public administration has resulted from interaction, coordination and evolution of ideas in the past, so an exploratory examination of the evolutionary traces of public administration helps better understand this science and predict its tendency of further development.
