Abstract:
The key distinction which makes the original Chinese culture differ from those others in different parts of the world is the spirit of humanity. Original Chinese religion showed a clear humanistic orientation in representing the relation between man and nature and between man and God. Emperor of Huang was born with a dual character of man and god, but the Chinese showed more concern with his character as man, and finally worshipped him as Father of the Nation. Scholars in times of the Spring-autumn Period and the Warring Kingdoms all extolled Emperor of Huang as a virtuous ruler, and those in the Qin and the Han Dynasty paid more attention to humanity and reasoning in him, portraying Emperor of Huang into a most virtuous king in ancient times. The image of Father Emperor of Huang is of modernistic significance and of especially great importance to developing the spirit of humanity in contemporary society, which presents itself chiefly in culture acceptability at the worship ceremony of Emperor of Huang.
