Abstract:
Philosophy means pursuit of wisdom. And wisdom involves both knowledge and obligation. Philosophic knowledge aims at understanding of the existence of the world and the value of life, and the value of life and the principle of morals call for philosophic knowledge to theorize. Leaky in many ways as it was, the traditional metaphysics as a rationally theorized pattern of the world made significant contributions to theorization of this type. However, when it criticizes the traditional metaphysics, postmodernism discards this obligation of philosophy, which is one of the key factors leading the moral crisis in contemporary philosophic consideration.
