Abstract:
Literary writing is closely associated with regional culture. A view of the 20th Chinese history of literature shows that novels of regional culture in different phases rank obviously among the most accomplished and most original. For example, western writers constantly presented and practiced distinct humanistic and natural worlds in western China both in theory and in practice, representing their individual discourse pattern and spiritual system. Therefore, the properties of regional culture in western novels are of modeling significance to contemporary Chinese literature as a whole.
