Characteristics and evolution of ecological environment in the Qing Dynasty is a field of interest worth a close concern in respect of the history of the Qing Dynasty and of environments in China and histo-geography. The status quo of this study is not inspiring so far but shows a panoramic prospect of development. To promote the advancement of academic study in this field, great efforts should be made to enhance studies in ecological environment of agriculture, forestry, water, beaches, grassland and desert, and urban and industrial areas.
