Abstract:
For morality in international politics, Western discourse has long taken a superior place. Realistic morality creates theoretical basis for hegemonic politics, either taking morality for nothingness or putting it totally under the control of power. In contrast, idealistic morality advocates the universal value of morality, intending to disseminate Western ideology throughout the world, whose sweet wording of morality usually serves the purpose of those world powers' interfering actions. Fortunately, with the gradual shaping of global international society, moral elements become more and more important in coordinating international relations and maintaining harmony and stability of international society. However, lacking in compulsory and commonly accepted theory, the moral principle remains rather weak in international politics.
