Abstract:
Chinese literature education in ancient times covered extremely extensive categories, so it was actually education of humanities in every sense. In conformity with general classical education, it took form of school education, family education and social education. Moreover, literature education in ancient Chinese was of apparent utilitarian nature, developing the sense of morality, training the ability of living and working in society and raising the level of literary writing and appreciation. To sum up, the value of literature education in ancient China lies in carrying cultural traditions, setting up models, serving the reality, building up personality, advancing academic studies and promoting cooperation.
