Abstract:
Upgradation and configuration of man is one of the key orientations advocated by Marxist view of literature and art. This orientation finds its basis in Marxist philosophy and its distinctive theory of “humanics”. Its fundamental point is to take as its supreme object “a free and wholesome development of man”, to direct and normalize art production and production of man himself according to aesthetic law and to create man with all rich senses. In today's world when miscellaneous trends of literary theory continue to arise, Marxist theory of literature and art is of more universal importance because of the profoundness of its orientation. It can effectively guide Chinese practice of literary writing and literary criticism and make the project of construction of cultural ecology advance toeards a scientific and harmonious goal.
