Abstract:
In the 1980’s and 1990’s, the turn of political and ideological orientation undermined the leading position of the school of revisionist ideology in the academic world of Russia. The rise of liberalism and demoncratic idea added polygeneticity to historical studies. At the turn of the new century, with large quantities of enclosed and key secret files turning to public properties, Russian academic studies have greatly extended the horizon of academic observation in the past 10-15 years, such as the formation of Soviet political system between 1917 and 1936, and the Great Purge from 1937 to 1938. Therefore, the period of transition of Russian history study has come to an end. During the period of transition, Russian historical world was in an aimless dilemma as a whole, but now Russian historians have agreed that the old path of academic study under an integrated ideology could be taken no more, for polygeniticity in means and mind is the prerequisite condition for successful advancement of every discipline.
