Abstract:
During the Five Dynasties, the Tiefu Huns founded the regime of Daxia in the Shuofang region. However, they had a very contradictory psychology in the course of southward invasion and steady expansion of their influence. On the one hand, their national sense and pride picked up, deliberately emphasizing and projecting their national characteristics. On the other hand, however, they were in deep inferiority in face of profound Han civilization, which led to adopting a series of incorrect policies.
