Abstract:
In the context of contemporary consumptive society, “literary classics” as a special class of consumer’s goods face varieties of dilemma. A thorough understanding of these dilemmas calls for a close examination of internal and external contradictions confronted by “literary classics” in terms of the relationship between “literary classics” and the context of consumptive society. In this way, we may gain a clear mind of the everlasting vitality and opportunity of survival of “literary classics” entangled in contradictions. In a word, the selfsurvival and reconstruction of “literary classics” is of important enlightening significance to current literary writing.
