作为行动者的算法:重塑传播形态与嵌入社会结构

摘要:
算法正在引导传播范式的革命,导致新型传播形态的崛起,从而产生全新的媒介生态,其中最突出的变革是传播主体由人扩展至作为“技术物”的算法。将算法视为传播领域中新入局的行动者,通过对人类网络行为规律的把握,探寻算法传播崛起成为新型传播形态的根源。在此之上对算法传播崛起的过程进行分析,发现算法技术作为日渐占据主导地位的行动者,嵌入并重构了原有的社会结构,从而进一步影响人的社会活动,具体体现为算法传播日渐深化场景适配,重塑着人的认知方式与行为模式。

Algorithms as Actors: Rebuilding New Communication Forms and Embedding Social Structure

Abstract:
Algorithms are shaping the paradigm revolution of communication technology and causing the rise of new forms of communication, resulting in a new media ecology. The most prominent change is the expansion of the communication subject from humans to algorithms as “technical objects”. By tracing the sources of mass communication and community communication, we can see the context of why algorithmbased communication has become a new type of communication. Based on this, the process of the rise of algorithmic communication is analyzed. Algorithm-based communication has a shaping effect on social culture, which is embodied in the following: Algorithm-based communication is gradually deepening scene adaptation, reshaping people's cognitive and behavior patterns, and constructing new social relationships.
