Abstract:
On the valuation of academic journals, although the qualitative evaluation of peer experts is a leading and decisive factor, quantitative evaluation is still an essential and important foundation. To discuss the evaluation of academic journals, it is necessary to make an accurate understanding and to, at first grasp five relations, namely: the relation between qualitative evaluation and quantitative evaluation; the relation between academic standards and influence standard of journals, the relation between academic journal evaluation and academic evaluation: the relation in scientific nature, rationality and the maneuverability of the evaluation; and the relation between the evaluation system and evaluation ethics. Only by taking this as a premise and basis is it possible to deepen the research on the existing divergent problems, develop scientific and reasonable evaluation schemes, quality standards, index systems and methods, and continuously improve the scientific nature, authority and credibility of academic journal evaluation.
