Abstract:
This paper argues for the interaction of national politics, communication and education in the formation of a national political cultural community; a nationstate is the political carrier of a compound nation, in which ancient peoples become ethnic groups; in adaptation to the trend of globalization, sovereignty and national security are combined with the ideology of cultural inclusion, resulting in more culturally compounded modern nations. In the early period of globalization, China took the lead in becoming a subject nationstate, and a system of subject nationstates was formed in western Europe and Northern America.During the period of limited globalization, the subject nationstates evolved into civic nationstates, or modern states in western Europe and northern America. In the period of allround globalization, nationstates are more culturally compounded, while multinational countries are more acculturated and politically integrated, and defeating terrorism and separatism will imply the gradual establishment of a global system of culturally compounded modern nationstates.
