Abstract:
The Gansu Literature and Art Movement during the AntiJapanese War is an indispensable part of China’s AntiJapanese War Literature and Art Movement. The prosperity of Gansu’s literary and artistic movement is based on three reasons: inspiration of the spirit of the AntiJapanese War era, promotion of Gansu’s strategic position during the AntiJapanese War, and increasingly frequent cultural exchanges in Gansu after the shift of cultural focus to the west. During the AntiJapanese War, the Gansu Literary and Art Movement was divided into the Literary and Art Movement in the Guomindangcontrolled area of Gansu Province and the Literary and Art Movement in the Longdong Base Area. These two Literary and Art Movements had the same aesthetic orientation and different spiritual structure, which jointly promoted the Gansu Literary and Art Movement to prosperity. The prosperity of the literary and artistic movement in Gansu is reflected in three dimensions: the rise of literary and artistic societies and the emergence of literary and artistic newspapers, the transformation of the modern drama movement and folk music, the convergence of the spirit of the times and the maturity of poetry, fiction and prose creation.
