Abstract:
The Hanjiang River basin is located at the intersection area of Northwest China, Southwest China and the central China, it belongs to the southnorth transition zone of China. Because of the unique geographical location and immigrant history, the dialects and cultures in the Hanjiang River basin show intense diversity. For the aspect of dialects, this area retains seven kinds of dialects, which are Guanzhong subdialect of Zhongyuan mandarin, Qinlong subdialect of Zhongyuan mandarin, Nanlu subdialect of Zhongyuan mandarin, Southwestern Mandarin, Jianghuai Mandarin, Xiang dialect and Gan dialect. For the aspect of cultures, all the cultural forms in different regions among Bashu, Zhongyuan, Chang’an, Jingchu and Huxiang retain their own marks in the Hanjiang River basin.
