There is a growing tendency of neglecting Marxist discourse even though it is the leading socialist ideology in China. Hence, it is significant, in the new era, to construct and develop Marxist discourse in enforcing socialist ideology, withstanding influence by Western ideology, and in pushing forward the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics. In the new era, constructing and developing Marxist discourse can be achieved through the following three means: modifying discourse means of metanarration, creating a popularized Marxist discourse system with Chinese characteristics, and cultivating a team of scholars who are experts in Marxism.
