Under the situation that the contemporary Chinese society is rapidly changing from on “acquaintance society” to a “stranger society”, the critical importance of the core value of integrity is immediately apparent. Although the Chinese traditional culture attaches great importance to the value of integrity, and even raises the position of integrity to a metaphysical level, which can be seen as “the Tao of the World” and “the Tao of the Human”, it has little effect because of the stagnation in moral cultivation level due to the noninstitutionalization. In the context of the contemporary postmetaphysics, integrity must be changed from a metaphysical to a practical institution. The institutionalized advantages of the value of integrity are changing these values from subjective to objective, from specific to several, and from moral to legal. With the mutual respect for property rights as the main content of the institution of integrity, focusing on behavior, interests and coercion, can promote the value of integrity turn into the empirical realism in an open, extended social interaction.
