Abstract:
The paper expounds the thinking of Tang poetry research, pointing out it should break the Tang poetry research mode and treat poetry activities as the lifestyle in Tang Dynasty; as the subject of poetry activities, poets, artists, officials, teachers, businessmen and the public should be paied attention. Poetry activities can be divided into many types from the view of personnel, scene, organizational forms, mode of transmission, and each type can be analyzed deeply; poetry carris different social functions, each function is worth analysis. The other aspects of poetic activities such as nature, procedures, rules and conditions also deserve further investigation.
