Abstract:
According to Luoyang’s Sketch Map in the Latter Han Dynasty Drawn in the Yuan Dynasty, which was first revealed by the present paper, and other relevant historical materials, no record showed that there were any “double watchtowers” in Luoyang in the East Han Dynasty. However, it was clearly recorded that Emperor of Ming of the Wei Kingdom once built double watchtowers, which collapsed in later times and “were never rebuilt, so there were no palace gates with watchtowers after that”. Since there were repeated descriptions of double watchtowers on Cao Zhi’s poems and essays, it was no doubt that there were building with double watchtowers in Yecheng and Luoyang in times of the Wei Kingdom. In this connection, the double watchtower is an irrefutable proof the The Nineteen Ancient Poems, including The Greencypress Tombs were written in times of the Wei Kingdom.
