Abstract:
As academic professionals, college teachers should show major concern with professional development in academic ability. The academic ability of college teachers is multivariant. What comes first is the ability of academic research, including the researcher's ability of academic thinking, ability of applying research methods and ability of observing the academic norm. Next, there comes the ability of academic teaching, which requires the teacher to instruct the students with the results of his academic research in the teaching model whose key aim is to develop the students in independent, autonomous, innovative, selective and reflectivecritical abilities. The ability of academic research of college teachers is the precondition for academic teaching, which is interrelated and inseparable to college academic research.
