Abstract:
After the 18th Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Central Committee established “the Eight Rules” for improving the Party’s working style and keeping close tie with the people, which offered a toplevel design for improving news report about conferences and leaders’ activities and extended the space for journalism reform. News media should set good social effect as the aim of reform and weather vane of appraising its achievements by integrating the Party committee and government’s need for political propaganda with alternative requirements of news value and function of news dissemination. To seize the balance between journalism and propaganda, we should firmly adhere to integrity between responsibility for the Party and for the people and carry out our social responsibility by following the objective rules of news dissemination.
