Abstract:
The Casual Notes in the Travel Across Europe was Wang Tao’s memoirs of his travel across Europe, revealing traces of “reminiscence” and “nostalgia”. Wang’s notes of his casual travel with his special identity and experience were organized by a double dimension of time and space, which made his work bidirectional and multivariant. His description of the images of others in Puli, Hushang, Hong Kong, western Thailand presented a multivariant self, but the images of France and Britain in The Casual Notes in the Travel Across Europe represented Wang’s nostalgia and reflection of the image of his homeland.
