Abstract:
Western Christianity and philosophy present a complex historical relation since they have long coexisted in the same social background. On the one hand, western philosophy continues analyzing and criticizing Christian phenomena and problems, and Christianity philosophically persists in interpreting and theorizing concepts and contents of its own, which offers a theoretical probability for construction of western religious philosophy. On the other, owing to long-term pure concern with matters of Christianity, this philosophy shows its constraints in objectivity and broadness. However, as a separate scholarship, the theoretical and normal requirements of western philosophy are to develop a theoretical and realistic possibility for construction of an objective and scientific system of religious philosophy.
