Abstract:
Cooperation, conceived as an important mental adaptation mechanism for human evolution, constitutes the fundamental sociopsychological connotation of the human community with a shared future.Cooperation under the conceptualization of the human community with a shared future embodies the ontological understanding of the relationship between human beings and nature, between human beings and society in Chinese culture of “harmony”, and transcends the goal of resource allocation and benefit sharing against the western traditional rationalism, ultimately pointing to the emotional communion and value tolerance in perspective of virtue ethics. The world today is undergoing a profound change unseen in a century, and the national and regional cooperation drawn by economic globalization is facing serious threats and challenges. The proliferation of conflicts not only reflects the ideological tradition of the West regarding intergroup fear, but also a spiritual product of modern game theory and narcissistic culture. Therefore, based on the new theoretical paradigm of social psychology, it is of great academic and practical implications to trace the social psychological path of promoting the construction of a human community with a shared future with Chinese narratives, cultural communication, and intergroup contact.
