Abstract:
Intelligence is an important social science, and intelligence activities are an important activity in the course of human history. The Cold War between the East and West, which lasted for more than 40 years after World War II, was in fact an intelligence war. During the War, the U.S., Britain and the Soviet Union, on both sides of the struggle, set up and improved intelligence agencies, and the means of intelligence activities and tried their best to carry out covert operations and the like, which had a profound impact on the process and ending of the Cold War. Nowadays, the global situation is more complicated, and intelligence activities are still an important means for countries to protect their national interests and achieve their strategic goals. Combining intelligence studies with the history of the Cold War and conducting interdisciplinary research will certainly produce a 1+1>2 effect and yield more valuable results.
