Abstract:
The modernization of Chinese teacher education is the basis of the Chinese path to modernization and the inevitable requirement of educational modernization. Based on China’s traditional culture and specific national conditions, the modernization of Chinese teacher education is a “five in one” modernization that aims to improve the quality of teacher education and covers the concept, content, system, means and governance system of teacher education. It is not only similar to the modernization of teacher education in other countries in the world, but also has the nature of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The value purpose of the modernization of Chinese teacher education is to take “people first” as the value base point, “integrity and innovation” as the value essence, “pursuing excellence” as the value goal, and “system concept” as the value orientation. From a strategic perspective, the key measures for the modernization of Chinese style teacher education are to jointly cultivate highquality talents, precisely promote collaborative innovation and improve the security system.
