Abstract:
The author of Three Dreams is still controversial in the academic community. In depth study, we should admit that the author is indeed Bai Xingjian.First of all, the appendix is inserted by later generations and cannot be used as evidence to deny the copyright of Bai Xingjian. As for the appendix, the academic community generally only discusses it on the basis of ShuoFu.In fact, there is a better version of the text of Quan Tang Wen.It preserves many traces of early texts, one of which involves the capital Chang’an.The value of this edition can be shown by the tampering of later versions, and then it is confirmed that this appendix is a forgery.Secondly, the debate about the second dream is the most intense. Many scholars believe that it is a combination of Bai Juyi’s poems and Yuan Zhen’s poems. However, if you carefully comb Yuan and Bai’s poems, you will find that their travels in Chang’an can be used as evidence.Third, there is the socalled problem of Yuan Zhen’s Gan Meng Ji.The discrimination of one word is an important evidence of the copyright of Bai Xing Jian. Finally, as for the first dream, some scholars have pointed out that it is related to Bai Juyi’s Ji Yi.Bai Xingjian imitates his brother’s work, but moves the place of the story a little eastward, but it is still in JingJi, where the capital Chang’an is located.Careful examination of the text can also find that the comments behind the Three dreams are actually from Ji Yi, which is the dark line of Bai Xingjian’s influence by his brother.
