Abstract:
Language governance research is a form of new development of language policy and planning research in China.It is emerging as a result of the comprehensive effects of the temporal background, historical accumulation, realistic needs and discipline development.It reflects the interaction and integration of domestic and international academic circles and follows its trend.The year 2020 can be regarded as the first year of the systematic construction of language governance research in China.Future research on language governance in China needs to give specific attention to the following aspects: clarifying terms and research orientation, conducting research by steps, agents, fields, and disciplines.With the advent of the Great Change, the study of language governance has a promising future.
